“When Barrett was 3, he asked to try karate. We tried calling around to dojos close to home and looked in the phone book. When we visited some dojos their focus was on self defense and over coming bullying, at 3 Barrett that was not our concern. When we spoke with the Instructor we really liked what they stressed: respect and discipline. That was just what we were looking to help instill in Barrett's growing mind. Haven, Barrett's sister, began training 2 years ago and we were still impressed with the emphasis on respect and discipline for the knee high samurai classes.
